What do you make of this?

There is a seller at Yahoo auctions that I am wondering about. Incredible prices on expensive box sets, several of the same titles available from the same seller, but he never posts his own pictures of the products. They all look like promo pictures from other sites of the products. So, what do you make of this? And of Yahoo auctions in general?

For the amount of responses he has had, there are quite a few unhappy people. At Ebay i would not purchase from someone who has had this kind of feedback, that quickly.
By the way how do you see the exact comments that were made?

Well one of the negatives is that all was great but he leaves negative until the seller leaves him a positive. (seriously).

A neutral is that it takes long to ship from someone with an 8 rating (and HE had a neutral for slow shipping also). I take slow shipping neutrals with a grain of salt.

The other negative has a reply about it being an "unreceivable" item and that they had communicated already... the person leaving the neg is an unrated buyer so I would take what he says with a grain of salt.

The feedback seems ok. Me myself I wouldn't buy anything without good stories from this forum - I'm not that brave You have to make your own judgement - it's your money. I wouldn't say yes or no regarding this particular seller.

It looks like much of the problems stem from bad email addys or the lack of patience regarding media mail. I wouldn't have a problem with this seller.

Buyer gives Bad Seller rating.
Comment:All DVDs arrived in well packaged and perfect condition. I love that, but please sign the positive feedback for me first. Then, I will change to sign the positive feedback for you. Thanks (Oct 08 12:24 PDT)

The thing that makes me suspicious about this seller is the fact that he's selling box set DVDs for way under what they would cost him. Since I doubt he's taking a loss in each auction he posts, I wonder if these DVDs are stolen or bootleg. That's why it also strikes me odd that he doesn't actually have his own pictures of the product.

Well, I couldn't resist, so I bid on and won an auction for Sopranos Season 3 for $42. I'll let you know what happens . . . in 3 or 4 weeks.

Yea, I did the same thing on the Escaflowne movie box, and End of Evangelion. Funny thing to me was I asked if he could ship the items togeather so that I may save on shipping charges and he said sure. The total shipping would be only 7.00. Corse each shipped on their own was 3.50.

I guess it is a race to see who gets theirs first.

Well if he charges actual shipping, combined or separate would still be the same weight

I'm just going to concede already. Mine has to travel a lot futher than yours, and I think the West Coast dock workers strike is going to make it take even longer.
