Harry Potter in NYC early?
My apologies to the mods if this type of post is discouraged...
I remember reading some posts awhile back about some stores breaking street dates in NYC. Normally I am all for waiting until the official release dates but I'm looking for a copy of the Harry Potter DVD... my nephew's birthday party is this weekend and it would be a big hit if we had it.
Anyone in NYC see it on sale?
Thanks.

I saw it at a store by me in Queens last week sometime. I didn't even think much about it other than...
"doesn't that piece of sh*t come out in a few weeks?"
I didn't pick it up.
But i'm sure you could find it at the usual places that break street dates in NYC. DVD Palace...Entertainment Outlet...etc.

Picked it up last week at Bondy's in Downtown NYC. They always street early to steal sales from their neighborhood mega store (J & R Music World).
Bondy's is located at 38 Park Row, NY, NY 10038

Thanks for all the info. I went down to Bondy's since its the most convenient (location-wise) for me. I only wish I could've caught the Broadway DVD Guy there.

Actually, I just noticed that the DVD I have in my hand is "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" as opposed to the "Sorcerer's Stone" (US title).
It is a region 1 DVD so where do you suppose this DVD was originally bound for? Canada?
