It just shows to go you: a bush in the hand is worth a bird or two, except when your chickens hatch before they're counted, in which case it's probably best just to stay home, lock your door, and pray they don't find you.

Can't say that that has ever happened to me. Actually, now that you mention it, wait, nope, never bought a DVD from Target or Wal-Mart.

Not sure if this belongs in 'Stores' or 'Other' forum...

I got Armageddon: CC at Wal-Mart for $21.99... Capital!

Target and walmart suck! I gave target a chance 3 times in a month, when their advertised price was even lower than Best-Buys.I got there in less than 2 hours after they opened in each case, only to NOT find the DVD I was looking for. When I was finally able to flag down an employee, in each case I was told they were sod out. After questioning the employee, I found they only ordered 3 copies once and 5 copies for the other two times! Whats up with that? How can you advertise something with a low price like that and only order in a few copies ? Walmart has done similar things. Screw em I say.I will never go to either store to buy my DVD`s.Best Buy gets all my business!!

I don't shop at Walmart, but at the 2 Targets I shop at they have their cheap movie displays scattered all over the store. If you can't find a title in the movie section it's usually by the registers, in housewares, or in some other display location.

Shouldn't this be in the Store forum?

Can't you get a raincheck if the advertised DVD is sold out?

Why not just price match the ad with someplace you know will have it? Best Buy, circuit City, Fry's, etc.

While I have my grudges against Target, they have a solid record with the raincheck in my book. Sometimes they are slow, but I just received two more 20% off raincheck/coupons because they were "out of" movies that are currently sitting on their shelf. For the record, I don't think I've ever bought their advertised movie. I just use it for a "Make Your Own Sale" via the raincheck!
