Another (Sc)Amazon complaint: WARNING

I ordered Willy Wonka - Widescreen and Star Wars :EP1 back in late June with a promo, share the love and free shipping. In August, I got that infamous, widescreen not being released message. Well, I knew EP1 was being released in Oct and heard the widescreen WAS being released in Nov. So, I have been asking amazon to just switch it and deliver the items to me in Nov. Finally, when it goes up on their site, they agree to do it.

BUUUUUTTT, lo and behold, they blow out my share the love discount, promo certificate and free shipping. Total is more than $10 more and they are giving me grief about how the cert expired. Well, all I want is what I ordered at the price I ordered. This is completely classless.

If they don't fix this (they never fixed my share the love by the way), then it's sayonara (sc)Amazon. Good riddance.

Actually, I got shocked a little while ago. I got a CALL from Amazon to solve the problem. They admitted there was confusion on their part over my email and wanted to fix it (I did send a pretty nasty email because of the issue).

They DID fix it and supposedly I will be charged slightly less than what the original amount should have been. (less than a dollar less). I even told him it didn't have to be less, just what the amount should be and he said it's ok. we'll see.

He also gave me an address to email about my problem with the share the love program.

I think the Share the Love program should be renamed to Share the Grief!

STL can also be renamed to Share the Spam! People are constantly being 'spamed' with STL emails but they don't get mad at it. They seem to like being 'spamed' anyway. So, let the spam continues...

I was one of those who ordered GODFATHER COLLECTION since I had a $10 coupon and free shipping.

Well, the coupon is still on there, but the free shipping is not!

I decided to cancel the order more out of principle rather than over the extra $2.98 it would cost me. At the very least, Amazon should have sent an e-mail to those of us with free shipping letting us know about the change.

I'm sure I could have called Customer Service to re-instate the free shipping, but I just did not want them to have the satisfaction of my placing an order with them.

I did e-mail them telling them I what I thought of their free shipping removal from my order. They actually wrote back telling me the error was caused when they changed the pricing or some such nonsense.

It will be a long time before I will place another order with Amazon!

Match,

What's the email address they gave you for reporting STL problems?

Thanks.
