Amazon out of Akira SE
I ordered this in the beginning of June, and Amazon tells me they haven't received yet. What the hell? I think that if they're going to carry limited editions, they should do a better job of letting customers know they're not going to get it.

Well, I left my order at Amazon sitting, but at least I didn't have any trouble finding a copy at Best Buy.
If I end up with two, well, it would make a nice gift.

They indicated that they are filling orders in the order that the order was placed. They don't seem to understand "limited edition" or the differences between the versions that they sell. I'm troubled thinking they might cancel the order making me buy the regular case at a now higher price and without my coupons.

My order is just sitting, but now it doesn't even have a "will be released" or "estimated shipping" line anymore.

Just got mine today! I ordered it on 6/07 and it shipped on 7/26. Took only one day to get here too 
That's a record for me from Amazon so far...
I don't think they shipped the tin in the order it was placed though...
I didn't think I'd get it at all pre-ordering it last month...

mine shipped about 12hours after I e-mailed [email protected]. I also got a $10 GC from them as well for my troubles. I think they do have some copies, but might be saving them for those who complain. I didn't really complain either, I explained the situation and said that if they can't get the tin version to sub the non-tin version.

Well, Amazon finally came through. Shipped an Akira LE Tin disk and I received it yesterday evening.
So, even though "out of stock", I guess they found a source for some of these.
(Of course, that also means I now have two of them, since I gave up and bought one at Best Buy.)
