Wal-Marts oversensitive security systems Are they all this bad?

I was shopping at my local Wal-Mart today after I went to work and found out that I was off from my job today. Along the way home I stopped by Circuit City and picked up 2 dvd's. I then got off the bus stop next to Wal-Mart. I had about 40 minutes to kill before the bus arrived to take me home. I stepped in Wal-Mart and the first thing that went off was the security system!! I was not even stealing ! I had barely gone one step when one of their employees(door greeters) thought they were gone there!? She took my DVD's while I went to look at thier medicore selection of DVD's.

Then I came back around the time to go catch my bus ride home. I got my DVD's back. Then I started to go out the door.Guess what the stupid security alarm system went off again!! The dumb Wal-Mart employees then had to rescan them over and over! I barely caught my bus in time becasue of this!!

Are all Wal-Marts security systems this bad?Would'nt this be case of a oversensitive security system? Even or security system at the B/X at work does not go off as much as their does!! I wonder if more people are shoplifting from Wal-Mart as I also noticed that the CD prices have gone up from $1-2!

Relax...it could have been a different sercurity, different coding schemes, CC forgot or didn't deactivate the device, etc. Bad security means being able to walk out of the store with an entire case of sealed DVDs without being noticed.

I think WalMart's security system's are oversensitive. Everytime I'm in there, the damn thing is going off on someone. I myself was held up for 10 minutes one time while they went through my bags trying to figure out why it kept going off.

Must be the metal plate in my head.

check your dvd's some have a magnetic strip in them. When i worked at best buy the alarm went off everytime someone left the store after purchasing a dvd b/c some have sensor tags inside the cases.
