Well everybody still no V and i ordered it from Amazon on the 27th and people who ordered after me are already receiving it. Here is my newest letter to them:


This is getting ridiculous,I placed my order for v on the 27th of June. I have normally not had a problem with you but this is uncalled for. Now estimated arrival is July 11th-17th. I had planned on having it this weekend since I finally have a weekend off. If I would have know this I would have got this in the city when i was there. Now I am forced to wait for you. I find it odd people that ordered after me as late as the 29th and 30th either have this from you or they are already shipped. The only difference I have been able to see is I used a gift certificate and they used CC, in the letter you sent me, you stated you shipped the available copies first come first serve, from what I understand the 27th is before the 29th.I feel as I am being discriminated against just for using a gift certificate. Please do something immediately to right this oversight, so I may continue to use amazon on a regular basis.

Ummmm....well since the estimated arrival is July 11 - 17, then perhaps you should wait until after that to complain?

TWEC has also yet to ship my V DVD.

When I ordered it is was to ship right way and estimated was to ship on the 3rd.

Seems like "estimated" is the key word here.

Sure estimated fact is I could have got it elsewhere if i had known. On their web site since Tuesday it has said availability 2-3days which is not true.

Here's my story: I thought I'd have better luck on the phone, and sure enough, at first I did.

The phone rep I spoke to on the 5th was very nice, and I believe she was honest with me. She told me that V was out of stock at "my" distribution center, but was in stock at another one. That is why some people who ordered later got their copies, as they are closer to the distribution center with copies left. But, she said she would move my order to the center with copies.

Later on the 5th, I check my order, and sure enough, V went to the status of "1 on hand". However, Book of Hope, which is combined with this order, went from on hand to 2-3 days. D'oh! Oh well, they tried to help me anyhow, or so I thought...

On the 6th I went to check my status, and both V and the book of hope had NO status information listed. Huh? I called Amazon, spoke to a different rep, who said the reason nothing was being displayed was there was an issue with my order. But "Don't worry, I will fix it and both will ship no later than Monday".

Later on the 6th, I checked the status, and both V and book of hope show "1 on hand". That was great, until this morning...

This morning, the 7th, Book of hope is on hand, and V has gone back to "1 to be released July 3". Arrrghh -- this is exactly where I started before I made any calls. Estimated delivery is now 7/13 at the earliest.

In Amazon's defense, this is the first time I have ever had a problem like this, and I've ordered quite a bit from them. I believe it is some sort of logistics issue with stocking the distribution centers that is at fault. While I know I'll get my copy eventually, I am frustrated to say the least.

p.s. - I am located in Florida, and usually they ship to me from GA/KY/TN (forget where the center is exactly). For the others who are missing V, are you in this geographic area?

I came into this late, but I ordered V off DVDEmpire and I got it on Thursday. I suspect that means there was some type of problem with the disc from the studio because I always get my orders the day before, and I did get the rest of my stuff then.. This might just be a guess, but Gormenghast is from the same studio, which would explain why it too was late

I just watched V today and It's a great disc. The commentary by kenneth Johnson has some really cool thing son it and he even gives an e-mail address at the end if we have any other questions we might want to ask.

I already e-mailed mine to him: When are we going to see V-Final Battle. I'll post his answer if and when I get it

Imagine calling a customer service rep on this one.

Caller: "Where is my V DVD?"

Rep: "Maybe you should ask your doctor. And do something about that stutter."
