Digital Eyes and twec.com are two vendors that do get discs out early.

They usually show up on Sat. or Mon. before street date (occasionally on Friday).

So does that mean the rest (like amazon) ship on the release date?

I got my Wayne's World 2-pack from DeepDiscountDVD.com today. It isn't released until tomorrow.

I received in e-mail on either Thursday or Friday of last week that it had been shipped. I'm hoping they do the same with Goonies!

My experience with Amazon and DVD Empire is that they don't ship until release date. Express.com (are they still around?) also shipped on release date.

Buy.com usually ships the Friday before release date, which means I get them on either Saturday or Monday.

DeepDiscountDVD got me the new Dogma set on Saturday before the release date and the Wayne's World set on Monday before the release...

Hopefully, they will do the same for Episode I

Does DeepDiscountDVD get these DVDs to you early using their free shipping option or the one where you have to pay?

In my neck of the woods, DVDEmpire will ship the new release on Friday and I'd receive it on Monday. It's only a day early, but what the heck, at least I get it in a timely matter.

DVDPlanet

I get pre-releases early from DVDPlanet, especially titles released by Image. Image owns DVDPlanet.

Nobody who got their DVDs early knows if they paid DDD for shipping or not?!

Recently Amazon does ship early as they did with my last 4 orders. Hatari;Shootist and Paint your Wagon for example already shipped on Wednesday 17th and release date for them is the 24th. However since i live in Europe i won`t get them before official release date anyway.

Could someone PLEASE answer my question. Really, it will take only one second. You can even just press Reply w/ Quote and say "Free" or "Paid" - one word response that informs me and raises your post count. There's really no way I can get an answer to this myself. Please just answer my question, thanks.

The last two or three orders I've gotten from DDDvD shipped early (Withnail and I:CC arrived almost a week before street), but I used the free shipping option.

But with coda: I live in Indiana and I think most of their stuff ships from Illinois. So YMMV.

Better now?

Yes I am happy now. Thank you for your replies, fellas.

The reason I ask is because when I placed an order with DDD for in-stock items, it took about two weeks to arrive. I figured if they do were doing that with pre-orders, they'd have to ship mad early but I guess it works out. I'm most likely gonna preorder Gump from them, probably with a few discount DVDs. Although it probably will make more sense to order the other discs individually. In fact, I think it makes sense to place all DVD orders separately from them...since the free shipping thing goes for all discs, and then they'll ship them as they're available. Sounds like a plan.

To be fair it was 12 days total, and it took two days to ship. So I guess 10 days shipment to NY, 9 of which were US mail days.
