I, too got one of the GODFATHER price correction notices from Amazon.
I used to order most of my disks from Buy.com and although they frequently lowered prices when the street date came closer, it was nearly impossible to get them to adjust the price. So I frequently had to cancel and reorder at the lower price.

Well I had ordered Godfather and Forrest Gump and used the $20 off of $100 Father's Day coupon. With the $5 price reduction, the total was now under $100 - so they removed the coupon. So in effect, I was now paying $15 more than I was originally (what a bargain!). I called, got transferred to a very polite order specialist, who re-applied the $20 coupon for me.

I got the same email but wanted to STL so I cancelled and re-ordered. Shipping will get reduced a $1.00 so you might want to call or re-pre-order(I couldn't resist).
