General Frustration with B&Ms

I have to discuss this because it's been driving me crazy...

I have been on a crusade to find Army of Darkness Director's Cut for a while. For some reason I don't want to pay more than retail (after all, I am a dvdtalk guy) and of course it's sold out everywhere...greedy bastards!!

Anyway, after making tons of calls, I find a copy in Bumba-f***, North Carolina. I am in NJ so I ask if they could hold it for me and ship it.

They said they could not, that they did not have a shipping policy, but they could ship it to another Best Buy. I think this is good because they could ship it to the one by me. So i start the works in having them ship it up here, and eventually they get around to telling me that they could only ship it to another Best Buy that shares a warehouse. Of course this took like 15 calls between the two stores and a few to corporate.

So, the furthest north they could have it shipped is Raleigh, NC. This does me no good!! They said they couldn't help me !! I finally found it, and I can't get it!! Argh!!

Has anyone had any situations like this where you get stonewalled because of company policy? I'd love to hear them...Misery Loves Company
