Just to clarify this is also coming to PS5 & Switch. The OP only has Xbox & PC in the first post.

People elsewhere seem to think Max looks "too different" having aged from 22 in the original Life is Strange to 29 in this game. Some also think the voice actor is different because she doesn't sound exactly the same as she did in 2015.

To me, the character model looks and sounds about right as you'd expect.

I really should play a couple of the other games that I never finished. I really only got through the original game and the prequel game.

Looks good to me. Looks like their borrowing the story from the comics (which are worth a read), where Max's Chloe is dead in her universe but alive in a different universe and Max can kinda hop between the two.

That seems like a lot of extra money for little extra content. And the two week early window has a lot of people concerned.

I agree that $80 seems a bit much for those perks, but I’m intrigued by the cat side quests

I see no issue with getting to play the first two chapters 2 weeks early. I can’t imagine a whole lot will be spoiled, and ‘pay to play early’ is already a thing. I also don’t think the type of people to pay extra for a Life is Strange game are the type to needlessly spoil their experiences either, except for maybe Twitch streamers or something, but they’re easy to avoid.

Yeah unless you are planning on beating every game on the first day it releases there is always the chance of spoilers if you are actively trying to be spoiled.

I had thought, based on the article I saw, that it was the whole game. Just the first two chapters isn't a big deal.

Still asking for an additional $30 for that little additional content in a $50 game is insane. If it all were $10, I'd buy the Ultimate Edition (like I did for True Colors). In fact I think True Colors Deluxe Edition gave consumers more for $10 than this does for $30.

Just wrapped this up. It's solid and worth playing if you are fan of the franchise/characters but it's my least favorite of all the games in the series. Definitely not a game to pickup if you haven't played the other Max Caufield games in the series since it heavily revolves around those earlier storylines. Also don't pay extra for the cat content it is literally just a 10 minute or so quest that runs the length of the game and nets you 2 extra trophies/achievements. And it costs $20 separately or you had to buy the most expensive version of the game.
