There was an actual biopic announced a few years back that is still in development.

This looks fantastic and appears they got involvement from the Henson Family and key people involved with bringing the Muppets to life like Frank Oz. I'll definitely be watching.

In the meantime Defunctland did an excellent deep dive on all things Jim Henson. Beware it's about 6 videos and about 3 hours long total but he did an excellent job covering all of his work.

This was great. Very well done. I loved the interviews. It showed some really personal aspects of Jim Henson's life that I didn't know about. I do have to wonder about Disney's influence on a documentary like this. They still have a vested interest in the success of the Muppets so definitely don't want it painted in a negative light so I wonder how much influence Disney had on the content. I hope not that much but you never know.

I was on a nostalgic streak and watched Butterfly in the Sky and this one back to back.

All I want to know is why isn’t The Frog Prince available on disc or streaming.

The whole documentary brings up a good question that I've had for a long time. Is it possible to be a real trailblazer/visionary/genius/history maker in your field and have a happy personal life? I find it very difficult to find many people at all that are as driven as they are to really make a mark in their field and not totally screw up their personal life.

Walt Disney. That's the only name I can come up with. He definitely made a lot of sacrifices in the execution of his vision but he also made time for himself and his family. Maybe a few presidents.

Obviously not the the extent of Henson, but wasn’t Fred Rogers successful and had a generally pleasant personal life?

Wonderful documentary. I had forgotten he died of pneumonia. Didn't realize Jennifer Connelly was 14 when she filmed Labyrinth.

Definitely. Not to take anything away from his accomplishments I'm talking more along the lines of being a transformitive figure in your industry. Like a Henson, Jobs, Disney, Einstein, Tesla, Edison, Musk etc.

Wonderful watch. I love these kind of documentaries, because I know I'll never have the time to go back and watch episodes of Sesame Street or The Muppet Show, or Fraggle Rock, so it is great to have a condensed representation off all of Henson's amazing work, giving me a feel of having experienced it again.

so, this will be on Hulu tomorrow, correct? if we have ad free it would be shorter. like that idea better than recording from cable.

It's already on Disney+.

I would rather watch it on cable or Directv so you can fast forward and not watch the ads on Hulu though I doubt ABC would run the full movie without editing it for time
