Super Bowl 58 Commercial Discussion Thread

Okay, the Super Bowl ads are beginning to drop and two are pretty special. Worth starting the thread now I figured.

First the Paramount + Ad that has already been posted in this forum twice. Worth one more time.

Kate McKinnon Hellman’s

David & Victoria Beckham tease a SB ad

Messi in a Michelob Ultra ad

Keep your eyes peeled during the Big Game to see what Martin Scorsese has been working on with his daughter, Francesca.

To remember Uber Eats delivers almost, almost anything, all you have to do is forget something else. Simply make a little room in your brain - like Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, USHER, the Beckhams, and Jelly Roll do. Whatever you forget, just remember Uber Eats gets almost anything.

I don't get why you'd hire someone like Jenna Ortega in your commercial just to not feature her, unless she's paid by the minute aired or something.

Taylor Swift should do commentary after each commercial.

Walken ad was pretty good though its a shame he's turned into such a parody. Guy was a great actor. Either Judge Judy had a facelift or the CGI team went nuts. Talking babies? The novelty has worn off.

Yeah, it's kind of weird.

I think that, on some level, while Pulp Fiction revitalized John Travolta's career, turned Samuel L. Jackson into a star, and made Bruce Willis a serious actor, it turned Christopher Walken into that guy who kept a wristwatch up his ass.

Cetaphil uses Taylor & Travis to sell moisturizers without actually using or paying them.

Weird ad. Heaven forbid she takes 5 minutes away from her technology bubble and obsessive moisturizing but her cult like devotion finally motivates her to tolerate some time with her sad pleading dad.

Is KIA's target demo filthy rich people who'll use any excuse to get away from their progeny? Old guy didn't look sick to me. Weather wasn't a factor. Probably didn't want to sit amongst the unclean masses.

Microsoft: Don't worry. A.I. will do all the work for you.

What is with all the Flashdance references? The singing T-Mobile ad, then NERDS. Movie is 41 years old and was a joke then. How is anyone remembering that fondly? The water splash scene is not some fresh take.

Re: Super Bowl 58 Commercial Discussion Thread

Uber has announced that it will be changing its controversial Super Bowl commercial before it airs during the game after backlash over its portrayal of food allergies.During one scene, a man was eating a spoonful of peanut butter out of a jar while reading the label.

"There's peanuts in peanut butter?" he asked while his face showed signs of an allergic reaction with one eye swelling and his skin breaking out in hives. "Oh, it's the primary ingredient."
https://www.today.com/health/news/ub...ial-rcna137803

"The peanut allergy joke in the @UberEats Super Bowl commercial needs to be edited out! It does not take peanut allergies seriously. This commercial is making it worse for allergy sufferers, and it is dangerous to make a joke out of a life threatening allergy," one person tweeted.
People are dumbasses. The ad does not make fun of the allergy; it makes fun of forgetfulness. The ad is one of a series where people are ridiculously forgetful. One features "Friends" co-stars Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer forgetting they were on a TV show together.

I have no fucking idea what is with peanut allergy sufferers that they are so insufferable.

Everyone was so mad about the peanut allergy jab that they missed the brutal slap across Matthew Perry’s legacy.

Did the ad writers not know that Perry admitted to not remembering filming 2 or 3 seasons of Friends due to his drug abuse. Then you gave Aniston say who could forget 10 years of their life in that ad.

Some people call it having a sense of humor and being able to poke fun at yourself.

He's an 80 year old character actor. If he didn't have this comedic public persona that he has cultivated for 30 years, he would just be an old respected actor that nobody gives a shit about.
