Very sad news. He also wrote and directed Dr. Giggles.

That sucks. It was always cool seeing his name on a project. He turned Enterprise around and was a big part of 24. Read that he was a big Doc Savage and The Shadow fan which is awesome. Fled Cuba as a child and made Super 8 films. Early start directing an 80's Alfred Hitchcock Presents and Monsters. Seemed like a really cool guy. Never watched Odyssey 5 but Space Shuttle, time travel, and Peter Weller? Need to see it.

^ Odyssey 5 is a good show that ended too soon. I have the only season that was ever made, enjoyed it to its end. Manny Coto is a name that will be remembered with fondness from the fans of the shows he's helped make. RIP Manny...

His younger brother Juan Carlos is also a TV writer and producer and worked with him in 24 and is currently a writer on 9-1-1
I saw posted by him today

Damn, sad news
Lately, I’ve been contemplating switching the focus of my 24 autograph collection to more crew autographs. I only have Jon Cassar’s autograph, but was researching more crew this past weekend. And of course, having Coto as part of my collection would have been an honor.

His work on season 4 of ENT was so much fun. The show should have been that way from the start. His influence will be missed.

Damn, sad to hear. I always associate his name with the work he did on 24.
