We Have a Ghost (2023, D: Landon) S: Harbour, Mackie

Finding a ghost named Ernest haunting their new home turns Kevin's family into overnight social media sensations. But when Kevin and Ernest go rogue to investigate the mystery of Ernest's past, they become a target of the CIA.
From the director of Happy Death Day and Freaky.

Director delivers again. Similar fun tone.

Pretty safe for families. Light swearing and a face melting scene. Tig Notaro and Jennifer Coolidge, unfortunately, are wasted.

It does feature the biggest attic ever.

I really enjoyed Landon's Happy Death Day movies, but I'm not sure if I want to dive into a family film that's over 2 hours. A local film critic wondered if it was anybody's job at Netflix to push back on the creators they're throwing money at. A studio note like 'Are you sure this movie can't lose half an hour?' seems pretty sensible given that this is a popcorn movie.
