This was light and charming. My parents had the 1958 book it’s based on, “Mrs ‘Arris Goes to Paris.” I never read it, but the movie is set in that time period.

I just watched this tonight on Peacock and came here to read the comments. Kind of shocked there was only one given it was an arthouse hit this past Summer. But I completely agree with you. What a charming little film. I can't imagine anyone not liking it. I'm a huge fan Manville especially her work with Mike Leigh. And I still can't believe she didn't get an Oscar nomination for "Let Him Go". But if you're looking something nice and heartwarming to watch, definitely check this out.

It was not the top movie in my Netflix que but watched it when I got it in the mail and was pleasantly surprised and a nice change of pace from the standard movie fare that is out these days.
