Looks like you should get the credit within 2 days after the order has been completed, and then the credit expires the morning of August 8 at midnight PT

I followed the guidelines but on the checkout page when I entered the code, it was rejected.

I had it reject too, then realized it has to be a particular gift card (the prime day e card) and then it worked. It says it in the fine print but I failed to read it the first time.

Who doesn't like free money?

Also, I kept trying to enter the promo code at check-out and it would reject it. Then I looked closer and it was giving me the offer, it just didn't need the code. I've gotten it to work now. Thanks.

I just got an email that I have received my promo for this.

I specifically chose the Prime Day eGift card, and never received my $10. I looked at my order, and it says I got the Amazon eGift card, which is not correct. I contacted customer service and they wanted me to speak to someone on the phone. I repeatedly explained to her what happened, and she gave me the same idiotic response 3 times in a row. I DID NOT order the Amazon logo gift card, and she told me 3 times, the next time I order a $40 gift card, make sure it's the Prime Day one, which I can't even do, because Amazon says I've already used this promotion! I swear, their customer service used to be better. No offer to rectify the situation.

I think I'm done with Prime. It's become a joke. At least half my stuff doesn't even come in 2 days anymore.

Thanks for the heads up. I saw it earlier, and thought it was the same previous one. I didn't notice that the promo code had changed.
