That looks like a lot of style over substance and Renny Harlan has been extremely hit or miss with his movies, particularly over the last 25 years or so, which have been mostly misses.
Still, Brosnan and Roth are enough to at least pique my interest.

With Brosnan as the headliner and a few Asian actors in the cast, I have a feeling this was designed for the international market in Europe and Asia. I assume if this gets decent distribution overseas, it will make most of it's money there.

I'm just glad this isn't a remake of John Huston's underrated masterpiece.

This is opening Friday, but it looks like it’s an extremely limited release. Only two theatres are playing it where I’m at and they are about 30 to 40 miles away.
Anyone have this playing near you? It will also be on digital on June 15. But I will not pay $20 to watch this at home. I’d rather use A list.

Curious to see this, but not for the standard reasons. I'm always intrigued in movies like that have at least one lesser-known name that carries equal weight on the poster and also turns up in the list of producers, because the films often turn out to be vanity productions, and this seems to be the case, at least in part. The only name in above the title on that poster that didn't ring a bell is Rami Jaber – aka Prince Rami Jaber, apparently – a Palestinian-Finnish diamond company scion and rally car team owner/racer who's also an executive producer. Most of the online bios about him seem to be (poorly) self-penned and more than a little hyperbolic, especially in relation to THE MISFITS being produced by Rami's "big Hollywood company" RNG Films, and also note that THE MISFITS "brings actors from different cultures, and has a strong and prominent Palestinian and national presence."
Brings back memories of perusing the B-, C- and Z-grade titles on video store shelves in years gone by and finding so many movies wherein at least one "star" was a Joe or Jane Neverheardofem whose name also popped up in the producer credits, which usually suggested that they were the driving force behind the production, and had enough money – invariably from other business ventures – to bring several reliable has-beens onboard for marquee value. Jaber clearly has enough dough to buy a much higher-grade cast of actors who are not quite has-beens just yet but who've definitely had their time in the sun, as well as a seemingly politically-neutral director who can still deliver large-scale set-pieces for whomever hands him big wads of cash. Interesting that the "From the director of" screen in the trailer lists two of Harlin's biggest studio hits alongside one his most notorious flops, which just happens to be about car racing, a subject near and dear to the Prince's heart.
Always get a kick out of watching these things – in part to see how much screen time these wannabe Hollywood moguls give themselves in relation to their more established cast mates – but I'll have to wait for a super-cheap option down the road.

Awful. Pretty much every aspect of this movie was awful. This is probably Renny Harlin's worst movie. The dialogue was ridiculous. The plot was stupid. The action was lame. The editing was choppy. The acting was horrible. There were giant plotholes in even the tiniest details. And it was badly miscast. Pierce Brosnan and Tim Roth were both 20 years too old for their characters.
I really wanted to like this. I love heist movies. Even the bad ones. But this was a whole other level of garbage. By the time I finished, I hated myself for sitting through the whole thing.

I paid the $7 rental a week ago and finally made the time to watch it tonight.
I didn't hate it as much as The Big Dave. It's passable entertainment IMO. I'd give it between a C and C- It's very nicely shot. The UAE locations are pretty nice to look at. I didn't mind the cast, although this wasn't one of Brosnan's better performances. This was a total easy paycheck job since he's credited as EP as well. The actress who plays Brosnan's daughter is pretty stunning. She was nice to look at.
However, the plot and caper didn't really make a lot of sense. The action sequences were just boring car chases. And I thought it was trying too hard to be clever. They used a lot of old caper movie tropes. Also, there is no reason why this should have been Rated R. It's a PG-13 movie all the way. And it's very short at barely 90 minutes before credits.

I thought it was an OK by-the-numbers heist movie. For all the set-up they did for the various characters like the explosives expert, I feel like they didn’t really use them accordingly. Brosnan seemed pretty old, but that wasn’t terrible for the role. I didn’t know Hermione Corfield, but I guess I’ve seen a number of her previous movies—pretty but I guess didn’t make a big impression on me.
