Does Amazon replace items stolen off porch?

When USPS delivered three pkgs yesterday, they saw someone following them, jump out of their car and grab them. They did drop one of the boxes and USPS took it for me to pick up today, and filed a police report with the tag number for the other two items. Since USPS was still on sight, does Amazon cover this?

You never received what you ordered. Amazon customer service will generally reship the items at no cost to you.

They will up to a point. After that they may require an alternate address.

Re: Does Amazon replace items stolen off porch?

I had ordered a mop from Amazon for my office. I got a notification that it was delivered on a Saturday (my office is closed on the weekend). Monday morning there was no package outside the office. I called Amazon and told them. They apologized and sent out a new mop that day by next day air. Later Monday the original mop arrived. It hadn't been delivered on Saturday after all. I told them to stop the shipment or let me return the mop. They said the shipping was more expensive than the mop and to just keep it. Now I have two mops.

If you have Amazon Prime, and a delivery date is missed like that by the carrier, you can call Amazon and get a free month of Prime added to your account for each incident.

It ended up working out well for me. I received my replacement laptop bag, and they gave a refund on the PS4 game that was oos. Found it $13 cheaper on PSN.

Unpopular opinion - the penalty is death by execution

Reason - the porch pirates don't know what items they are stealing. They can't say they are stealing to feed their kids, etc.

That estimate...sounds high. It would mean every living adult inside the United States has had at least one package stolen this year. I guess it could be true but sounds high.

I'm guessing shippers will eventually have consumers move to a lock box for all packages on their doorstep which only the shipping company would know the security code. If you've tried Amazon's pick-up system yet, it works like that.

Popular opinion - instead of paying for trash pickup, just repackage your household garbage in Amazon boxes, seal them up and leave them on your porch. Kill 2 birds.

If you’re even remotely worried about porch pirates, just have your shipment sent to an Amazon locker. It’s so easy. I literally live right around the corner from one. The lockers are all over the place. It’s a very safe way to have expensive items shipped if you won’t be home.

I used to use one of Amazon's hubs until the store closed. Super easy to use. You went to their designated counter, told them your name, they scanned your email and handed your package to you. Took a minute or two.

That being said, never had a problem with porch pirates.
