Gran Torino (2008, Eastwood)
Details here
Eastwood is starring and directing, and the premise and screenwriter of the film is as yet undetermined. It's apparently set for a December release. There's four possible scenarios to what this could possibly be:
1. A final Dirty Harry movie. Sure, he's 78 and I'm hard-pressed to name any police detectives collecting social security, but since we've already seen Rocky, Rambo, Die Hard, and Indiana Jones get revivals, Harry Callahan could be a possibility.
2. Another Western. Unforgiven was his goodbye letter for Leone and Don Siegel, but perhaps this is maybe a No Country for Old Men-esque morality tale.
3. Something about cars.
4. Something that I haven't mentioned already.
Feel free to spill your theories!

Eastwood will play a curmudgeonly old coot who is brought out of retirement for some reason. In the course of events, somebody will die -- but probably not his character.

I thought he said he was never gonna act again. Million Dollar Baby would be his last.
He was offered Tommy Lee Jone's role in The Valley of Elah and said no more acting.
So much for that.
In The Line of Fire 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From: Northern New Jersey...or as we say it "Sopranos Country USA"
Perhaps a monkey movie...Eastwood womping on hippies? A final showdown with Heston for right to the presidency of the NRA?
In all seriousness, Dirty Harry could be cool, but a racing movie or a western would be awesome.

I dont really care what it is. Getting two Eastwood films in one year is awesome. And /film.com is reporting that Clint WILL be starring in this one as well as directing!

I can't wait to see what this is, Eastwood is my favorite actor and I was hoping he'd act in at least one more film. I would love for it to be a western.
