When Did Cartoon Network Become Live Action Network?
So during the 24 commercial breaks, I've been channel surfing and I noticed something weird that's occuring on Cartoon Network. They're showing a live action movie. The movie in question is Snow Day, but the movie they're playing doesn't matter, it's the fact that:
1. It's a live-action movie.
2. It's a live-action movie being shown on Cartoon Network.
Now this isn't the first time this has happened. On Christmas they were playing Jumanji, but I could let that slide, due to film's constant use of CGI. However Snow Day has no CGI as it's a low-budget children's movie. But seriously, what the hell? There have been numerous animated films to come out in the past decade (let it be traditional or CG), but who is making these decisions at the network?

I only watch Adult Swim, so I'm not sure (although they did mention on there that they'd had alot of luck in the past with Fox's garbage, so maybe they should pick up Arrested Development
).

I know for G4 they are in the proccess of rebranding themselves. They are going to be another "Man" network like Spike TV.

I can't find any listings for this.
Are you sure it wasn't Toon Disney? They're showing the live-action film "Inspector Gadget" on the 18th.

I remember back in the day when Cartoon Network showed old cartoons pre-Cartoon Cartoon days like Powerpuff Girls and such and they used to show the Banana Splits which wasn't a cartoon at all. As long as Cartoon Network doesn't completely lose the cartoons (a la MTV losing the music), I think we will be fine.

Was channel flipping yesterday afternoon and stumbled across it. Definately confused the hell out of me. Had to flip back and forth a few times to make sure Iwas watching the right channel. I hope this isn't a new trend.

Slightly off topic, but I only watch [adultswim] on CN. Do they ever show I Am Weasel or Cow and Chicken any more? These were about the only 2 shows I watched of theirs pre[adultswim] and would like to see these again.

There's a fantastic editorial about this on Toon Zone, if you're curious.

I wouldn't be surprised if "Cartoon Network" gets a name change by the time '06 ends.
