I love that they nominate shows that aren't even halfway through their first seasons.

I'd drop Curb for AD.

I agree. Why is this show considered a comedy? I also think it is kinda over the top to nominate 4 people from the same show. I enjoy the show and watch the new episodes when they are on, but it isn't THAT good. To me the second season has been a big drop from the first season.

It sees like most of the shows and cast members they nominated are from shows that are only a year or two old.

That's what I meant by quirky. It is like the bizzaro version of the Emmy awards.

Prison Break as one of the best dramas on TV? Really? I mean, I get the appeal -- it's a guilty pleasure, but I tune in every week -- but one of the five best? I sincerely don't understand that at all.

Kind of a drag to see no Arrested Development or Veronica Mars on there.

Where's the love for Lauren Graham, Stockard Channing or even Debra Messing?

Maybe they should just have a "BEST PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTRESS IN DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES" catagory.

At least Glenn Close got a nod. She should win.

I don't understand this prison break thing. To be fair I have NOT watched an episode,but I have seen the commercials and all that.

This is what I don't understand and why I don't watch :

1.) They say the guy is gonna be executed in TWO WEEKS ( or some other short time period ). How do they really expect this to be a series that lasts. I have already heard about a second season.

2.) The brother just HAPPENS to get convicted of a crime, sent to the SAME prison, and near his brother. How do you PLAN that? Seriously. With delays and crap in trials, etc. etc.

3.) The guy was the designer of the jail they send him to. yeah right. Wouldn't they know that, and not send him there?

4.) The guy has two weeks to plan and execute his escape. I did see like 5 minutes of an episode. It was the guy trying to get some other inmates to help him. So the existing inmates are gonna help the new guy escape, yeah right.

To much suspension of belief for me. Or am I really just missing something good?

You have a right to baffled. It, in no way, should be nominated for a best drama award. It is completely unrealistic and comes off as if a 12-year old wrote it. However, it is fun mindless entertaining television.

I hope Candice Bergen wins for Boston Legal

BL should be in the comedy category and she should have been a comedy lead actress nominee.
