Workout Songs

I know this thread has existed before, but any suggestions for good workout songs would be appreciated, esp. techno and trance - but any genre suggestions are appreciated.

i downloaded this 16 minute techno remix of a bunch of Britney Spears songs. Its nice and long for when I run on the treadmill and its really upbeat which is what i like. Plus it subconciously motivated me because she's so friggin hot

I listen to Fatboy Slim, Chemical Brothers, Basement Jaxx, Beastie Boys, etc. and lots of remixes when I run.. Have recently been running to Röyskopp, air and Jamiroquai remixes.

good workout songs

ok, i need suggestions for workout songs. i have a horrible memory so i can NEVER remember names or artists. plus our radio stations here are total crap so i either listen to cds and become disconnected or i surf constantly which makes me miss titles/artists. i'm looking for songs which have been recorded within the last 3-4 years. oh, and i detest boy bands and britney. :P

i'm thinking Pink, Limp Bizkit, Eminem, Nelly, etc.

thanks in advance

As usual in all these threads I give the same answer: Metal, all types Black, Death etc. It works for me when doing pretty much anything, but yeah not everyones into that stuff.

This time I'll say techno. That kinda music kinda works because it pumps you up.

What, does nobody sweat to the oldies anymore?

I need something uptempo when I work out (or should I say, do some push-ups, jumping jacks, and call it a day), so it's usually some good ol' classic punk, cranked loud.

Based on what you said your looking for...

"Trylogy" by Kurupt
"Bakin' Soda in Minnesota" by Andre Nikatina (and if you can't find that, try The Daiquiri Factory)
"Above the Clouds" by Gang Starr
"Cycles of the Mind" by Double Life featuring Raw B

I would suggest more, but I'm not much of a hip-hop fan; in fact that is about all of the hip-hop songs I like. I could see how they would be good work out songs though.

That said, get some stuff by Tortoise. Has some hip-hop moments but very experimental.

I usually listen to rage against the machine, guns n roses, tool, metallica, nine inch nails, and occasionally pink floyd.

I really think it depends on what type of work out you are doing. If you're doing aerobics, you're going to listen to some dance/pop crap. When I'm running I like to listen to some rock with a fast beat to it. When I box, I like gangster rap.

Back in my Highschool days we had a workout tape in the gem it consisted of:

Guns 'n' Roses - Welcome To The Jungle
Motley Crue - Dr. Feelgood

And that was it. It got played nearly everyday (especially before football games) and I have to say both songs are invariably linked to working out for me now.

What songs do you run/workout to?

Hi all,

What songs do you listen to while you're running or working out? I'm looking for a list of songs that'll get you pumped up

Thanks!
