A pumping, glammy, trashy, techno stew of a house mix that's cheap, nasty, sexy, electronic and will make you want to leave your gym and hit a dance floor later that night. The musical equivalent of JoltCola and great to workout to.

Anything new to add in the last 2 years? Looking for something fast.

One suggestion from me is Gym Class Heroes. They're Hip-Hop with a band akin to the roots with a younger feel. Kick out their interludes which are more like spoken word poetry (not much if any beat) than songs and you are left with good beats and inteligent lyrics.

If you're looking for music to run to, I'd recommend checking out the Podrunner podcast. It's about an hour's worth of electronic music at a constant BPM. It's great for pacing and the songs are pretty decent too.

In addition to a lot of what has been mentioned I listen to a lot of wrestling themes while I'm working out. Some that I would suggest:

Chris Benoit
Brock Lesnar
Hardy Boyz
Stone Cold's theme from Disturbed
Edge's theme (Alter Bridge)
Any HHH theme

Wrestling themes work great because they are generally made to get the audience amped up for a match.

most stuff by Disturbed, some Metallica, etc. I also like powerman 5000 stuff.

Bullet with a Name by Nonpoint will get you over that last hill.

BT's "Never Gonna Come Back Down" ... I dare you to play this and NOT want to run... or drive fast.

Currently on my running iPod:

I tend to listen to punky-type stuff when I run.
