I posted this in that briefly resurrected Lost thread a couple days ago and got no replies, so I'm going to post again until someone tells me it's old news and kills my smugness:

I've only skimmed these many Lost threads so I have no idea if this was pointed out, but I've been meaning to post for a while that that the small musical cue at the end of the giant spinning "Lost" logo is from the prelude (title sequence) of Herrmann's Vertigo score.

Smugness

It's old news on most Lost message boards, the fact that it hasn't been brought up here is probably the same reason we don't have a theme music message board. Good catch though!

I never knew that. I don't troll all the mesage boards and haven't seen it printed any where.
I'm going to have to rent Vertigo now.

Here's hoping we see some real resolution of some of the major plot points, similar to the way most questions were answered on last Sunday's Desperate housewives.

Really trying to set aside two hours to catch this finale.

Anyone think we are going to get a "spin-off"-series about the people on the raft?

Tonight is the night. I've been holding off cancelling my DISH because of Lost. Once season 1 is over, DISH will be cancel because I've moved into my gf's place. I will have to get a digital recorder of sort for her cable before season 2 starts though.

wow, is that really the episode synopsis?

Spoiler:
My Tivo just says "a visitor", not mentioning Danielle specifically. Stupid me, I watched the sneak preview on abc.com, so I know it's her, but still... that's kind of a big spoiler to be in the synopsis

Important warning though:

Pad your recording by at least 10 minutes after 10 pm ET/PT and 9 pm CT/MT. I've heard the program may run overtime--maybe substantially overtime.

Can't get much more complete than the ABC website for your question:

Spoiler:
The previews for this ep showed both Michael & Jin in a scene on the island. I would assume they had to turn back for some reason otherwise the characters on the raft would get very little screen time. I mean, how many plots can you have on that little raft?

Can't wait!

If Lost runs 10 minutes over, will Alias do the same?

Spoiler:
My guess is that a monsoon forces them to turn back. Obviously, you can't kill off the 4 on the raft, and they can't find help.

I heard that too a few weeks back...but haven't seen it advertised as such, so I doubt we'll be so lucky.

My theory.

Spoiler:
The raft folks are caught in a storm and find an abandoned rig/platform and go inside and explore.

The folks on the island blow the hatch and out come the folks from the raft.

I could be daft, but I'll laugh if I'm right.

Spoiler:
The only thing I feel pretty sure about is that it has something to do with the cable running into/out of the ocean.
