I'm just thinking, at a certain point, that level of disposable income would be far more useful being given to charity (a hundred people in Africa go without retroviral drugs for every duplicate DVD bought), but hey, whatever gets you through the night...

You could make that statement about every DVD you purchase.

I am sorry but to purchase multiple copies of the same movie is just a complete waste of money. I understand owning all the different editions but at least open the damn things...In this day and age it is better to save your money instead of wasting it. Just think about what your family will do with all this crap when you pass on...I got some news for you...When you pass away you are NOT taking your multiple copies of Saw III and numerous copies of Evil Dead with you....

Or show us a picture of duplicate copies of the DVDs- one set for the collection and one set opened for viewing.

I went to BB today and picked up SAW III along with The Descent on the 2 for $25 deal. They didn't have the Uncut Edition of Saw I, but I did picked up the Uncut Saw II and pricematched to K-Mart for $2.99. Manager didn't even blink.

So I picked up Saw II UC, Saw III, and The Descent for $28!

Ack, you made check my set since I got it on release day. Looks okay but it's hard to tell. I don't see any leakage.

Heh, then why do you own 1100 DVDs? Go sell them and give the money to charity.

Jeez...you people are acting like he's taking the money out of your wallets to go buy his DVDs...

How about a little perspective, my always-getting-up-on-the-wrong-side-of-the-bed DVDTalk friends? I said "at a certain point"; I'm not asking people to be fuckin' Ghandi here, I'm just suggesting a little perspective. If you guys are seriously going to equate owning one DVD with three, four, five of the exact same one (rinky dink bonuses aside), then I give straight the fuck up and would be honored if you and your ilk would stop, in the words of the ever-PMSing Sabrett, "paying attention to my posts".

Does anyone think a box set of all three movies will come out? I don't own any edition, so not sure if I should wait or not. Also xage or anyone, which are the best editions to buy of each of the three movies? I just might buy one of each film. Thanks.
