First Blood = 1 disc
Rambo II = 1 disc
Rambo III = 1 disc
Rambo = 2 discs

So then what's the sixth disc? Will it be all the features that were abandoned from the OOP Artisan trilogy plus more? God, I hope so.

The Rambo Trilogy: Special Edition (that had a steel slipcase of sorts) was 4 discs, with additional extras from all 3 movies on the 4th disc. Perhaps it's a similar arrangement in the new box.

Why?

Because....The film will sell more copies on DVD than it will in the DVD boxset. The LE dvd boxset will sell more copies than the Blu-ray; the bluray will sell more than...oh I guess they won't be releasing it in a blu-ray boxset because they feel it wont sell very many copies.

Awesome news on the Blu-ray for 1-3, this will be a day one purchase for me. Now if only Sly would do the same thing for all of the Rocky movies.

Does anyone have a detailed list of the extras in the Rambo Blu-Ray Trilogy set? I'm debating of selling the OOP Artisan version that has DTS and a lot of features that didn't pass over to the Ultimate Edition release.

I wonder what will be on the single disc sd release? I hope it has deleted scenes as that's all i care about (besides the movie).

now is the whole thing encased in metal tin or is it just the new "Rambo" in this set? as i am a little confused. i just acquired the R2 6-disc SteelBook and wanted to do a transfer when this came out.

I can understand why the DVD would sell more copies, considering the user base is over 100 million players. BD only has a user base of around 5 million. So yeah, it makes no sense to compare sales of those formats given their user base numbers.

Tempted to dump my Lions Gate DVDs of 1 & 2 and get the box set.

i mean the upcoming one on 5/27/08. Rammsteinfan posted the specs for this 4 movie set, but kinda seemed that just the new "Rambo" in the set was in "encased in limited edition, collectible metal tin packaging" which i took that the first 3 was maybe keepcase and that just the 4th was a SteelBook, but probably the whole thing bc that would be silly, huh?

So is the 4 movie set going to be the same dvds from the 1st RAMBO or 2nd RAMBO set?
How are the transfers of RAMBO 2 from the 2nd set?
On the 1st set which I have it's not that good as far as sound or color.

I'm still waiting for word on the bonus material on Rambo 1-3 on this new release. I will gladly dump my Lionsgate Ultimate collection if they improve the bonus material or port some over from the Artisan collection.

it looks like the "Ultimate Edition/2nd versions" of the movie discs, BUT with all or most of the featurettes from the "Steelbook/1st set" put onto the bonus disc.........yeah im sold

George P. Cosmatos directed the 2nd one, why would the director of part 3 do a commentary on part 2?

Cosmatos died in 2005 so if it wasn't recorded before then, it's not happening.
