My thoughts
I assume the actress that plays Grazer was pregnant and they decided to just go with it...unexplained.
The special effects were even better than the series. The opening battle scene did not disappoint.
I'm glad all of the original actors signed on and was surprised to see some supposedly dead characters return. If only one other prominent key character somehow returned...
I like how they did try to give a little background for those that haven't seen the series but if I had never seen it before I'm sure I would have been lost.
I hope that most people that were fans of the show actually watched it instead of boycotting the show in order to view it later like das. The more viewers, the better ratings, the better ratings, the chance more episodes/movies will follow. Boycotting viewing the airings is like cutting off ones nose to spite the face.

As for das, is he really boycotting? I figured it was some other reason. That doens't sound like him, he knows what it took to get TPW on TV. I'd be surprised if he really did boycott. Hell, I even set BOTH my replays to tape the show on the odds that Replay reportst back to Sci-fi on the ratings.

And the reason it "took" so much to get this on TV? The Sci-Fi Channel.
I can definitely understand not wanting to support the very network that caused the problems in the first place. I'm glad to see that this finally became a reality. But, make no mistake about it, the channel you are watching is the ONLY reason that you are seeing a 4-hour miniseries instead of a 22-hour season.

The best TV miniseries I've ever seen. I also agree that they wrapped it up nicely and there won't be anymore. They certainly could if they wanted to, but after seeing the conclusion, I don't get the idea that they will.

And now I can be depressed all over again. The ending was fitting, and although I wish the show would continue I can be satisfied now in the way it ended. The 4 hours was excellent, and I hope that the Henson Company and all of the other creative people involved with the show go on to bring us more shows on a network that can appreciate them.

I'm surprised to see so few responses in this thread regarding a great mini-series.
I did get a chuckle out of of this question he asked Emperor Staleek.
"How is the view from the Death Star?"

4 hours instead of another season as promised.
Was never a huge fan of the series.
Still a solid ending to an interesting series.

I believe everyone is disappointed that we get
Sure, I'd have liked the show to continue. There's no reason it shouldn't have. But Sci-Fi killed it.
Now, if I could only get ole George to axe his plans for a Star Wars TV show. End Star Wars with Episode III. Star Wars doesn't belong on the small screen other than stuff like Clone Wars animated shorts. It belongs on the big screen. Small screen and TV size budget can't do Star Wars just visually at all.

I'm going to spoilerize my speculations on some possible future events with Farscape since they also involve some major plot issues that some may not have seen yet.
Wishful thinking I know but possible.

Can someone refresh my memory, how did Scorpius survive his last death and get reinstated to the Peacekeepers?

This was incredibly well done and an excellent closure to the series. Sure there could be more, like a Farscape: TNG, but Im incredibly pleased and it was great how John made Scorpius his bitch at the end...although Good ol Scorpius was always a very interesting character anyway
An EXCELLENT example of how a miniseries can cause someone who lost interest in teh show after 2 seasons to want to get it all on disc and relive it all.
DVD Season set sales will skyrocket, thanks to this miniseries.
Well done, Farscape!

Congrats to Farscape, Henson and the production group, and the Cast. But as for Sci-fi, I think it was pure stupidity that the dumped the show in the first place. Although I'm glad they aired TPW, I find it hard to give them "kudos" for finally waking up and smelling the frelling coffee.

Here's to hoping they figure out what they lost and bring Farscape back...

true, but at this point, with the resolutions offered from teh TPKW, there would be no point in having it come back - any attempt would just ruin the excellence that they ended with - the only other thing they could do is get John home...but after all he's been through and now with his hew family, why bother?

I'm surprised as well that this thread is so short. I thought the miniseries was really great and even though they fucked up to begin with, I'm glad SciFi brought it back so we can get some closure. Yeah I said it, thanks SciFi...problem?
I couldn't help wondering how it would have worked over a season though. Does anyone know if this is the story they planned to tell originally? or is this just a bastardized version of what they had planned for the rest of the season?
Either way I really loved how jam packed the series was. They didn't really let up. So great. I can't help but be bitter that Taken got 20 thousand nights for their series, but FS (a show that put Scifi on the map) only got two. But whatever, it ruled.
My only gripe is that Chiana got the short end of the stick of time.

They really could continue the series, but I just don't know if I want to see it anymore after that ending though. I believe John was allowed to keep the knowledge of wormhole travel, just not the wormhole weapon knowledge. I wonder if the Idallons (sp?) could adjust John's genetics so that he could have the lifespan of a Peacekeeper much like the race did when they found Earth and transplanted humans originally.
It always bothered me that they are meant to be together, but she's going to outlive him by at least 200 years.
