Hi, is there a list somewhere with a rundown of all the steelbooks released todate? Maybe even a list seperated into regions?

The only Steelbooks I have are:

The Day After Tomorrow
The Departed
The Grudge 2
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre

Well, in Sept/Oct., there'll be Death Proof and Planet Terror, too.

A few questions: Are The Departed and Boondock Saints Steelbooks or tins? Is there any real difference?

I'm looking for these Steelbooks:

The Day After Tomorrow
Fight Club
X-Men 1.5

I have the Man on Fire Steelbook to trade, it's still sealed. My trade list is in my sig, feel free to reply in that thread. Thanks!

Did you find any scratches to the back of the DVD case where the comic was attached? Apparently, it was an issue with the machine that applied the glue to hold the comic book on.. I opened mind after the 30 day return policy and it was sold out anyways..

Hi Valeyard! This was a Futureshop exclusive that came and went so fast not many people even know it exists. Extremely rare and near impossible to find even on Ebay. This is the one and only Region 1 X-men 3 Steelbook in existance. The only thing I don't like with the Steelbook for X-men 3 is that it is only 1 disk and the Steelbook has room for 2 disks. So I will probably pick up a 2 disk set and fill in the empty spot in the Steelbook.

No, not many problems with the glue. Just the usual glue remnants at the top where all the Steelbooks have problems, I have been using Goo Gone and it does the trick everytime....

I remember when this was released. I passed on it because it seemed very overpriced for a single disc release with some frills. I opted to wait for a price drop and ended up picking up the regular release for $9.99 on boxing day. But now when I read the word "rare" I wish I had picked up this steelbook. Though the one empty disc holder in the case would have bugged the hell out of me.

I am pretty familiar with all the secret areas on Ebay and I could not find one of the X-men 3 Region 1 Steelbooks. There are plenty of the overseas X-men Trilogy Steelbooks and even some overseas X-men 3 Steelbooks (not the same as the Future Shop Region 1) but no Region 1 X-men 3 Steelbooks. Do a check on completed auctions and there are still none. I have been watching for quite some time for one!

Once you go Blu-Ray, you can hold the BD in there.

Or, better yet, put in X-Men and X2 so the case actually holds a good movie. *ducks*

Then explain to everyone that X+X2 is X3.

re: x3 steelbook

i haven't seen the steelbook pop up in the exchange forum myself. i guess i only browse at the wrong times though. i think this is probably more "in-demand" now than other steelbooks mainly because there are also steelbooks for 1.5 and 2, so this can be considered part of a "set," but since it's not available in the quantities like 1.5 and 2, its more of a challenge to obtain.

the only times i've seen the set have been on ebay, and of course, depending on the fanatic you're bidding against, i've seen them go as high as $200. and as much as i'd love to have the steelbook myself, i'm not willing to pay THAT much.

two questions though: why is there a place for two discs? even in canada where it was released, it was just the single-disc right? and does the steelbook have that sort of "box" on the front cover. i've noticed that with the spawn steelbook and some others as well. any particular reason why they're that style vs. the regular "flat" steelbooks that are more typical?

FutureShop has a pre-order page for the Jungle Book steelbook exclusive here. I assume it'll be like the Little Mermaid one, which had the extact cover art front and back as the cover of the standard DVD..

man, why the hell would anyone pay $200 for a 1 disc "Steelbook" of a not so great movie? that is madness!

Hey. am trying to figure out how to upload an image of POC? Can anyone help.
Re Boondock Saints and The Departed. These are SteelBooks. A huge difference to tins. Its a one piece DVD case with the metal molded to the plastic. With a tin, its a tin and then maybe a plastic case inside. Not cool as SteelBook I think.
Re X3 in Future Shop. I bought mine the day it went out. Apparently the reason for an empty hub is that there was initially going to be a second disc.
Re the glue thing. I find it easy to get the security stcikers off, no need for the glue thing but hey if it helps thanks for the tip. No scratch on mine
