I passed too because Disney + kind of makes me not want to buy anything physical that is going to be on there. Especially since this set doesn't have much (anything?) new in terms of bells and...

Same reaction here. I haven't even bought any 4K versions (with the exception of Solo and The Last Jedi) because of their availability on Disney +

The transfers here (other than the new trilogy, and particularly Phantom, A New Hope, and Empire) sound pretty lackluster. Sadly, they'll probably never be redone for a physical home media format...

You should give them a shot, I revisited them after about 10 years and they hold up remarkably well; I'm not sure I'll be able to say the same about the last trilogy a decade from now.

The individual movies are going to be hard to find for less than $25 (so that's $225 for 9 movies), so not so outrageous.

It's NEVER happening. I wish people would get past this. Not meaning you personally, but just everyone in general. File it back there with Song of the South as something we're just never going to...

Well, 3D versions of the prequels do exist; it would be nice if they got released, but I doubt Disney will include them. At least not in a US set.

Bonus discs for each one of the films. There's plenty of content out there to justify that.
