Yeah it's only sold directly from Google.

$129 for the kit with 1 controller and a Chromecast

and if you want an extra Controller it's another $69

So you're theory is very likely wrong. ;) ...

Are they even selling this at B&M stores? Thought this was sold directly from Google.

Yea it's expensive for this type of tech and you need to have an expensive high speed internet connection to...

AT&T has a data cap too. So I think this will be a pass for their customers. No way you can stream games and play HD and 4K video and not hit it.
