Just chiming in to also say that the Japanese R2...

Just chiming in to also say that the Japanese R2 is indeed anamorphic - and yes, the colors look better than the R1, but it also has a little bit more edge enhancement.

I just got mine from dvdslimited - no "jacket" cover, though - it seems like only people that ordered with HMV are getting those.

Anyone in Japan wanna pick one up for me? ;)
