Yeah, but I've also seen Big Band Jazz shows with some legendary groups (Buddy Rich, Woody Herman, Lionel Hampton, etc), and even though the musicians were all seated in their respective sections...

If Cornell was that detached and disinterested for his entire career I find it amazing that Soundgarden built up the fanbase that they did and sold as many concert tickets as they did.
