Re: 10th Annual Sci-Fi/Fantasy Challenge Discussion Thread

Yep, I pretty much have all the items in my prize pack, so would love to put it back into the pool for hopefully a first-time winner to enjoy instead. Thanks again!

Re: 10th Annual Sci-Fi/Fantasy Challenge Discussion Thread

Wow, I've been lucky in Challenge wins lately. I'm done with PMs, you and Goldenwheels should have my address from last time, but I'll email you. But actually, I may have most of those three items,...

Shado, watch it again, with commentary, on the 31st. Two viewings, counts as four over 3 Challenges!

Re: 10th Annual Sci-Fi/Fantasy Challenge Discussion Thread

Thanks orlmac! With my mild dyslexia, 1998's Deep Rising is close enough to my 1989 trilogy.

More underwater monstertime! Well, assuming I have that DVD. It's probably here somewhere....

Re: 10th Annual Sci-Fi/Fantasy Challenge Discussion Thread

Anyone remember the underwater sci-fi binge Hollywood gave us in 1989? Within a few months of each other, we got Leviathan, DeepStar Six, and The Abyss. I'm thinking about subjecting myself to all...

Re: 10th Annual Sci-Fi/Fantasy Challenge Discussion Thread

Yeah, I've only seen one episode of GoT. Loved it and always plan to binge it come each July. Maybe I'll forget that spoiler by next year.

Re: 10th Annual Sci-Fi/Fantasy Challenge Discussion Thread

Watch a film for each rating:
--- Unrated (pre-MPAA) -
--- Approved -
--- G -
--- GP -
--- PG -
--- PG-13 - ...

Re: 10th Annual Sci-Fi/Fantasy Challenge Discussion Thread

Or just match some other challenges by making it something like 10 of the 15 decades.

Re: 10th Annual Sci-Fi/Fantasy Challenge Discussion Thread

Thanks Bob! I caught a Tales from the Darkside episode, and now I'm watching The Crazies on YouTube.

I imagine about half of all horror films could qualify for this Challenge.

Sweet, don't...

Re: 10th Annual Sci-Fi/Fantasy Challenge Discussion Thread

:hairpull: Animation isn't a genre!

There is enough stuff out there to easily do every monthly Challenge all animation. Not sure if this month would be the most represented, or maybe comedy, oh,...

Re: 10th Annual Sci-Fi/Fantasy Challenge Discussion Thread

That's a great idea LJG. I think Chad and others have done similar in the past. Maybe quote/compile all the suggestions at the end of the Challenge, and even discuss them out, and then all the ideas...

That's a mighty fine trilogy there Bob!

Was there a new Khan release? I have the boxset from a few years ago but I vaguely recall there being something new about II.
