Looking for an older DVD website

I'm looking for this older DVD website, I'm not sure if it's still functioning, where they would have all kinds of advance images for DVD art before their releases. They had a formart where there...

Re: The Avengers - Sept. 25, 2012

I haven't bought a movie on DVD in two-and-a-half years (three years by the time this comes out), but I think this will be my first.

Lord help us how many store exclusives there are going to be. I...

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

I made a very nice discovery today: I picked up the keepcase version of "The Twisted, Disturbed Life of Kane," something I always wanted.

I remember when this set was announced, I was really...

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

The truth is, the match selection on the WWE compilations used to be a LOT better. I think around 2005, when they really started released three disc bio/match comps, was when they started to pick up...

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

I thought so, too, but that's from August 1996. This was the first match between Hollywood Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair. I want the red-and-yellow from '94, coincidentally from the same month two years...

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

Somewhat disappointing list. Since I don't own either Ric Flair collection, it might be worth it to me to get the Flair/Sting matches from '88 and '94, in addition to the "I Quit" match and the match...

Content Listing for "You Think You Know Me: The Story of Edge":

Seriously disappointed with the match listing. I honestly think WWE is just getting lazier and lazier with the matches they choose....

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

I don't own either Ric Flair DVD collection, so keep that in mind for a lot of my choices. My list has a lot of Flair.

Re: best dvd you have brought at bargain prices

One purchase immediately comes to mind as my best.

It was September 2005, I remember it clearly. I found a little DVD shop in lower Manhattan. Of course I went over to the wrestling section. The...

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

Which matches/sets, specifically?

The only instance I've seen where the blurring was almost completely unnoticeable was on the first "Ladder Match" set, during the first TLC match at SummerSlam...

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

I would love to see an Attitude Era anthology, the problem is that it would be BLURRED to hell. Worst era for re-release. That's one of the big reasons I'm such a fan of WCW releases -- few in...

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

This looks like about as good a set as I would have hoped. The truth is, because Rocky was in his prime in '98-'01, it's difficult to find any matches that aren't filled with the scratch WWF logo. As...

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

There were honestly so many great free TV matches this year, that it wouldn't be right to be disappointed if any of them were missing. Out of all the good ones, the ones I would have liked to have...

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

I correct myself: Bret Hart vs. Bam Bam Bigelow has never been released on DVD before, either. I was confusing that match with the Hart/Bigelow match in Barcelona that was on Hart's DVD.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

Overall, I think it's a pretty good list. It's not perfect, but I'm leaning more towards buying it than not.

The Negatives:
-No Hart/Ramon match from 1993. The first match of the first televisted...

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

That seriously sucks. The only good PPV DVD covers have been for Night of Champions, SummerSlam, and WrestleMania.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

It's a shockingly poor list. I re-read twice after to see if I had missed something. The truth is, this set is not the definitive release on Austin, it's the latest. This is for anyone who didn't buy...

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

They moved too fast too soon. WWE released only WM and SS in 1999, the year that DVD really started to pick up. By 2000 it was the big four, and after NWO in 2001, every event was released on DVD.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

You really don't know which is worse?

A guy going out of his way to pretend that a blu-ray exists?

Or people being upset that a blu ray they might have wanted to buy doesn't exist at all?

As...

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

That f*cking pisses me that they didn't announce it. I had off Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and I could have gone to BB to find it. Now on the BB website it says backordered.

Oh well, if I...

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

I know now that WWE makes an effort to give the best special features to the worst ppv events. The 3way with Miz, Del Rio, and Mysterio was a lot of fun, highlights from the go-home show are very...
