Re: (DEAD) The Twilight Zone: the Complete Series [24 Discs] [Blu-ray] - $64

Got my TZ set Saturday. It had some wear on the exterior, but no more than would be found on a physical retailer's shelf.

Good luck to everybody still waiting.

re: Horror Movie Empire shenanigans (was: Blue Underground BDs $10 each)

Succinct version: Little Demetrios's first Ponzi scheme to buy a house (not a joke); white-collar crime with a "blu(e)" twist.

Re: (DEAD) The Twilight Zone: the Complete Series [24 Discs] [Blu-ray] - $64

These incidents have happened more than a few times with Deep Discount, so it shouldn't have surprised me at all. I thought maybe things had improved in their fulfillment process, which I swore never...

Re: (DEAD) The Twilight Zone: the Complete Series [24 Discs] [Blu-ray] - $64

No signs of change for my copy of TZ, unshipped and no signs of pending charges.

I think cancellations after this length of time are just insulting. Can't believe they seem to be randomly...

Re: (DEAD) The Twilight Zone: the Complete Series [24 Discs] [Blu-ray] - $64

My copy of Dick Van Dyke ordered at about 7PM EST arrived today (received a shipped e-mail and tracking number for anyone keeping count), which was also purchased after TZ.

TZ is unaccounted for:...

re: *DEAD* Weeds: The Complete Collection $33.99 Walmart.com preorder

You guys were not kidding. I thought I had seen every poor packaging style, but this one is unbelievably difficult. I managed to get a paper cut on the packaging somehow. Just an observation, great...

Re: Insignia NS-BRDVD4 is Having Issues Playing Recent Anchor Bay Blu-rays

It's established in the various online communities that the update does away with it. There's even saved firmware data for a USB drive for reverting back to the previous versions available to make it...

Re: Insignia NS-BRDVD4 is Having Issues Playing Recent Anchor Bay Blu-rays

Yeah, I'm thinking similar, but the main draw of the player is full region-free capabilities on DVDs and BDs, and the most up-to-date firmware outright nixes it...

Strange the NS-BRDVD3 has no...

Insignia NS-BRDVD4 is Having Issues Playing Recent Anchor Bay Blu-rays

As the title states, my Insignia NS-BRDVD4 is having issues playing recent Blu-ray titles like Let Me In and Battle Royale that choked and couldn't get to the title screen. I was able to play Let Me...

Re: Gettysburg/ Gods and Generals limited 24.99 at bestbuy.com

Mine was exactly like this and I inspected the set today to find the left side of it was crushed terribly. The entire left side is warped, so severe that the right side actually has visible stress...

re: Horror Movie Empire shenanigans (was: Blue Underground BDs $10 each)

So, what the heck am I supposed to do with all these special people I found off of Craigslist that I promised free Blue Underground film showings and something called a 'casual encounter' to? Jeez,...

re: Horror Movie Empire shenanigans (was: Blue Underground BDs $10 each)

Close, his full name is Ponzi, based on his schemes, but he's so dear to us we should just call him the Ponz in a sense of endearment. Ayyy...

re: Horror Movie Empire shenanigans (was: Blue Underground BDs $10 each)

You guys better not say bad things about the Ponz. He may asks for an archive of your forum complaints for $20 and make you feel all uncomfortable.

re: Horror Movie Empire shenanigans (was: Blue Underground BDs $10 each)

My PayPal claim came through and I was fully refunded. I wish I could have just had what I ordered, but whatever, it's over for now.

Re: Gamera: Guardian of Universe & Gamera: Attack of the Legion Blu-Ray

Skynet is here! The subtitles are self-aware and referring to their mechanized brethren in a pithy, ironic statement.

Kidding, of course. The subtitles really were bothersome and lacking the first...

re: Horror Movie Empire shenanigans (was: Blue Underground BDs $10 each)

I got an e-mail that lied about me being fully refunded when I haven't received a cent. That's something.

re: Horror Movie Empire shenanigans (was: Blue Underground BDs $10 each)

Well, I got an update, in the form of an automated generic e-mail. It's titled "Order Refund Notice" and straight from HME. Problem: I paid with PayPal and they're the ones to process and e-mail me...

re: Horror Movie Empire shenanigans (was: Blue Underground BDs $10 each)

All is in reference to your entire order, but I'm sure it's no coincidence about the time-frame he's giving. 46 days and it's kaput on PayPal claims. By Tuesday, depending on what constitutes 45 days...

They just pulled the exact same pricing stunt with Gladiator at 2.xx...

Re: Band Of Brothers BR <$10 shipped

Ditto. Nobody get your hopes up. It's as good as dead, despite the open status. Deep Discount is a little behind to say the least.
