You forgot to add some kind of joke emoticon to the end of your message. I hope.

re: Horror Movie Empire shenanigans (was: Blue Underground BDs $10 each)

I've been making sure to watch every single one of those Blue Underground Blu-rays that I received from HME (well, actually from Amazon). I can't help but feel guilty that I was one of the lucky few to receive something. The least I could do is make sure those Blu-rays get used! We had a Fulci triple feature in my backyard Saturday night. I wish some people from this thread could have been there.

I talked to my Credit Card Company (Chase Visa) and they said there is no deadline to file a claim so I'll take a chance and give him some more time. As long as I have no deadline to file a claim with my Credit Card I guess I can afford to be patient.

I'm glad I didn't get in on this "deal." The prices were tempting, but an unknown vendor advertising a ridiculously awesome bargain like that set off too many alarm bells for me.

He is underserving of your patience. Please do yourself, and any potential customer, a favor by getting a refund and help put this guy out of business. He has no business being in business.

Agreed, 100%. This guy is a piece of garbage and his "business" cannot be shuttered soon enough.

You guys better not say bad things about the Ponz. He may asks for an archive of your forum complaints for $20 and make you feel all uncomfortable.

Is that short for Ponzarelli?

Truly, the worst managed and, overall, most abominable online shopping experience I have ever had. If this guy had a lick of decency, he'd be too ashamed to ever go out in public again.

Close, his full name is Ponzi, based on his schemes, but he's so dear to us we should just call him the Ponz in a sense of endearment. Ayyy...

So, what the heck am I supposed to do with all these special people I found off of Craigslist that I promised free Blue Underground film showings and something called a 'casual encounter' to? Jeez, my 200 cats are gonna be so peeved when I have my many conversations with them about this.

Kidding, of course. In all seriousness, I am glad you got some of what you ordered. I wish everyone luck who is hanging on to their hopes, since so many canceled and the remaining have a semblance of a fighting chance.

It would be a mild pleasantry to think HME would have shaped up and had everything squared away in 60 days, whether it was sending apologies and refunds or offering to actually ship the things they could. But when you don't have the product and are a callous ass running a scheme, I guess things have to end roughly. It's good to hear that most credit cards don't have time limits on filing claims in such a situation as this. I wouldn't want to imagine him running off with anymore sales proceeds scot-free.

Thanks, Viva. I'm quite familiar with Mr. Ponzi...Ponzarelli was my own feeble attempt to add a bit more humor to this thread.

After all the posts here and on the blu-ray forum, if you waited to long to open a paypal dispute, you deserve to lose your money.

Customers who have received product from horror movie empire should vote in the new poll over at the blu-ray forum. I just received shipping confirmation for the last 3 movies in my order.

Hi Demetrios,

Thanks again for telling me you cancelled my order (even though you didn't) asking me to pay a 2nd time for my order, then finally mistakenly cancelling my order (even though I asked you repeatedly not to).
Great "business" you're running!

So, now there are two polls - one in which 5 out of 121 received their complete order, and one in which 1 out of 101 received their complete order.

I really tried to give this guy the benefit of the doubt, but he has not answered any of my e-mails over the past 3 weeks and I am feeling more and more that this guy might be shady.

FYI: I ordered over 10 titles, and have only received 3.
