If you go with Cambridge I would not buy anything...

If you go with Cambridge I would not buy anything less than their Centerstage center channel speaker. It's a great sounding speaker especially for $199 but the other cheaper stuff is weak at best.

I just replaced my Cambrige soundworks centre channel plus with a CS centerstage when I came up with the idea, why not use the old one under the TV. Will this work. How do I wire it up, in parallel?...

From my experience the biggest hurdle you are going to have as far as cost is the transformer aspect. These suckers can be expensive especially if you are looking to power 400 watts.
