RUSH with Anika opened the Juno awards playing side 1, track 1 of their debut album. Of course, it's the Rutsey era and not Peart, so seems like they'll save those for the tour. Not even playing Working Man.

More symbolic than anything.

Cool that their first public performance together is in Hamilton, 5 minutes from the hospital Peart was born in the same downtown core.

And around 30 minutes down the road from the real life Lakeside Park (and Neil Peart Pavilion).

Not dead, but you have to realize the Juno audience is younger and were there to see the newer artists - not some old farts playing this antiquated music. .
Rush appearing was a surprise (although rumored a couple days before) long after the tickets were sold.

I am now even more excited for the shows I have tickets for. If they keep a similar stage setup with Anika and Lorne I will have a great view of Alex an Anika in San Antonio where I have a front row floor seat on Alex's side of the stage.
