When does the fan to fan marketplace go online?
They haven’t said. I think last year it was 2 to 3 weeks after the sale.

There are rumors that they will be headlining at least one day are Ohana.

Tickets for here in Chicago may find their way to StubHub, etc., per this, since a "non-transfer" rule is apparently illegal here:

Tickets on this tour will continue to be non-transferable in all states except where it is prohibited by law, such as New York and Illinois. Unfortunately, fans in those states may be subject to increased ticket prices if they choose to purchase on the secondary market.

TM emails are starting to go out. I used two accounts and got selected on one... they don't tell you which show until later.

Re: Pearl Jam - Dark Matter (4/19/24)

Got my VF code from Ticketmaster. Of course, Chicago goes on sale at noon, while everywhere else is 10am. Had to cancel birthday lunch plans with a buddy in order to participate.

Also got my seat assignments for Chicago N1. On the field, but waaaaaaaaaaaaaay Stone's side. On the aisle though, which is my preferred fat guy seating. (Last time there, I offered someone $20 to swap seats so we could have the end)

Last time there had us between shortstop and 2nd base, IIRC.

Got in the presale for Wrigley night 2. Tickets in the 400 section (the top of the stands) were $425. Tickets on the field were $982.
They can fuck right off at those prices. I've seen them for free before at a conference so no need to pay through the nose to scratch that itch.

Yeah, I think all that they were selling in the General Onsale were "PJ Premium" tickets (AKA "Platinum" branded tickets that Ticketmaster sells at other shows).

All the face value tickets were sold in the Ten Club presale

Congrats. This is the band I've seen more than another and it's always a great show.

Re: Pearl Jam - Dark Matter (4/19/24)

Got in for Wrigley N2 on the Verified Fan sale. Would have helped to have realized that i should have pre-registered for mlb.com - d'oh! Ended up in 328R or something, which I'm pretty sure is a new section they added on just for me, as far away as possible. This'll be shows 29 & 30 for me, and I feel like my run may be done.

I got tickets for Wrigley N2. I didn't pre-register, but it let me though this morning. 427R, but at least we'll be there.

I've seen them twice before, but not in many years. My baby girl will be happy.

Re: Pearl Jam - Dark Matter (4/19/24)

I just bought the ten club LP vinyl, the delux CD, and the dark matter 7" single vinyl.

Just and FYI to any of you who like to use paypal - for some reason, paypal wouldn't let me make the purchase from Pearl Jam's site - something about international restrictions.

I really like both songs that have been released, and they are very energized on this album.

I have been listening to the last three albums a lot recently getting ready for Dark Matter. I have Gigaton on now, I like all three a lot more than I did when they first came out. I kind of just listened a few times and put them away. Hoping the ATMOS mix well done.

I really like Gigaton but playing it revives too many of the earlier Panic memories. The release and the downward spiral of the world are to interwoven in my head.

Re: Pearl Jam - Dark Matter (4/19/24)

An old friend from high school and I went to the album visualization screening tonight. It was in the Dolby theater at our local AMC and it sounded great. Jeff did a brief intro, then the album played in the dark (except the lake blue lights in the ceiling of our theater illuminating my white Vans). Then, the album played again with lyrics and visualization.

The visualizations reminded me of the visualizations from the old winamp geiss music visualizer, only higher-resolution and less responsive to the actual music. At one point for half a song, there were no lyrics, as if to say, yeah, we have no idea what he's singing, either.

We both liked it. My friend said it sounded a little more mainstream, but she also said she feels like a basic mom these days. I liked it and Stone has a bit of time to shine which is always nice and Mike was great but didn't seem to truly let loose like I expected him to here. Lyrically, a little abstract, and lots of "you're good enough" pep talk songs, but good. No story songs, really, one kinda. We're not going to get another Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town on this record.

Pre-ordered, and can't wait!

That's a tough call, but I'd probably rather listen to Sirens.

I've listened to this a few times now. I think it's a little over produced but sounds the most cohesion and collaborative work in awhile. I like it a lot.

Re: Pearl Jam - Dark Matter (4/19/24)

I really love it. I'm one of those guys who tends to stick with a band and enjoy them through their ups and downs so take that for what it's worth but I like this a whole lot.

"Something Special" is for his daughters and obviously he didn't care about being right on the nose lyrically on that one so I can see where that might be the weak link. But as a dad, I don't hate it.

Re: Pearl Jam - Dark Matter (4/19/24)

Damn, didn't know then ten club used UPS for shipping - complete trash can shipping company.

My vinyl was supposed to arrive yesterday and now the updated delivery time isn't until this Saturday (which usually means the package was lost).

Ten Club is trash, can't use PayPal and they use the delivery service level with the USPS which means you actually pay for you item to be delayed because after you pay for your item, it gets shipped to a local UPS facility then all UPS does with the package is hold it for a couple of days then hand it off to the USPS to manage the delivery.

Oh well, at least my deluxe CD and 7" single arrived on time.
