I also picked up The Last Temptation but the site wouldn't let me post the pic for some reason.

How do those sound? I was thinking of picking them up, if still available.

I only have the Sabbath now, I just ordered the Alice Cooper a few minutes ago. The Sabbath sounds amazing. The drums on Iron Man will knock the fillings out of your teeth.

Nice, I see that Rhino still has them on their website, I've always wanted to hear the quad mixes of these two albums.

It's their new prog-metal album (they already did a thrash metal album).

I thought I missed out on the BDB one as Rhino's website is showing that one as sold out, but luckily the Warner Music Canada website still has them both in stock and the same price factoring in the exchange rate. The quad mixes are getting good reviews on the Hoffman forums, I can't wait to hear them.

Not sure if I would trust it though since Rhino said they were a site exclusive. It wouldn't be first time they pulled that shit, though.

Re: Albums Bought (2023)

Yeah, who knows. That's about the price I paid in Canadian. Getting them before September and just in case those listings disappear from Amazon between now and then is worth the extra ten bucks I paid for shipping

I don't normally buy CDs anymore but this comes with a CD and Blu-ray, I just don't know if the BD is music only or a live concert. I saw that the vinyl package comes with a "DVD," but don't know what that is either. This was $17.99 and the vinyl set is $34.99. There's even a single "digisleeve" release for $12.59.

I'm digging the concept for this record -- it's got an Alice Cooper meets Kowalski/Vanishing Point vibe.

I have that Alice Cooper ordered on CD, too. I am pretty sure it is a concert, the Detroit Stories special edition also came with a full show.

Thanks for the heads up! I almost ordered from Rhino the other day, but didn't feel like spending that much once shipping was factored in. I'll give this a go for Sabbath, and hope for the best!

I really like both of the albums in quad. A warning on the Sabbath though, there is a lot of reverb on Ozzy's vocals and they are also lower in the mix than what you are probably used to hearing with the stereo.

I've heard people say that, it's apparently especially noticeable on War Pigs. I've heard that there is also a lot of panning, which seems dated but kinda sounds like fun as well.

Where else can you get these aside from the two sites you mentioned? What would I even search for?

They are also available for pre-order on Amazon (release date September 8). Just do a search for "Quadio" in the CD and vinyl section and they should all show up.

Mine showed up in the mail yesterday (really fast shipping from Warner Music Canada). But I'll need to rearrange my home office with the extra speakers before I can try out the quad tracks, the stereo tracks sound good though.
