Re: Name Same Song by 2 or more artists(no cheating)?
One clue(and tidbits) about The Who-Guess Who song.
Guess Who version wasn't sung by Burton Cummings. Also a lot of fans mistook the Guess Who version of the song as originally done by The Who which it wasn't. They (The Who) received so many requests to sing the song that they eventually did(their version is on the The Who Live at Leeds Album). I think The Who never did a studio version of the song. |
Re: Name Same Song by 2 or more artists(no cheating)?
Probably not enough for it's own thread, artists who rerecord their own songs.
Rick Derringer- "Rock and Roll Hootchie Koo" first appears on Johnny Winter And album, he records a solo version Greg Allman - "Midnight Rider" first appears on ABB album then he does solo version Whitesnake - "Here I Go Again" Joe Walsh - "Turn To Stone" Bob Welch- "Sentimental Lady" first appears on Fleetwood Mac album, then he does solo version Paul Rodgers - "Spirit of Love" first appears on solo album then rerecords with The Firm Another one is songs that writer gives away but never records their own version. Original songs by artist that appear on live album but never record a studio version |
Re: Name Same Song by 2 or more artists(no cheating)?

Grand Funk Railroad-Traffic Clue: All 4 did the same song and it was written by Traffic's Dave Mason. |
