Is this just a list of songs that have been covered or was the intention to be different songs that happen to have the same title and are done by different bands?

I was confused by that at first as well, but the OP said "same song" not "same title" so that made me think that he meant covers.

I have an example of both together (I'm sure there are more):

I Wanna Be Your Man - The Beatles - The Rolling Stones - L.A. Guns (different song with same title in the last case)

it's definitely the former rather than the latter. But with potential variations. I look at it as songs that you didn't know were covers, or also songs where the cover is better etc. etc.

I have been lazy and failed to get back to the Beatles - Richie Havens which is Here Comes The Sun and Havens' version is fantastic so if you haven't heard it check it!

The only Flotsam cover I'm familiar with is of Elton John's Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting, but I have no idea if Nickelback covered that one, I'm not exactly a fan. :wacko: (at first I thought you were saying that Nickelback covered a Flotsam & Jetsam song :lol: )
