Liz Phair - “Soberish” - 6/4/21
I have not seen her or heard any music from her in years or maybe a decade or longer.
She does not look that bad for turning 52 this year.

Saw her at the House of Blues San Diego back in the 90s. I was right up front, could almost touch the stage. Sometimes felt like she was just singing to me. Such a good show. Glad to see she's still making music.

She always connects with her audience. That's part of her charm and magic. I'm thrilled she has a new album coming out. And can't wait to see her again.

I saw Liz Phair in 2001 opening for the Flaming Lips and have seen Garbage twice recently. Phair seemed like she wanted to be elsewhere but Garbage puts on a great show.

Picked up Soberish on vinyl and am listening to it right now. Really good stuff. I wish that tour was more extensive, hopefully she makes another solo jaunt after the Alanis tour (also not coming through Houston for some reason).

I hate hate hate the album mix of "Spanish Doors". It's just way too over produced. And that background "don't want to think about it, don't want to talk about" singing here and there was not necessary and really annoying. The version in the video above was more subtle and sounds like early Liz.
