Mammoth WVH

Wolfgang Van Halen has a solo album coming out (under the band name Mammoth WVH) and so far the 6 songs he's released have been great. Anyone else listen to these yet? The kid is very talented.

Yes, he's talented, but the songs are beyond average, and if the Van Halen name wasn't attached to it, there were be zero interest at all.

Disagree. This is a good song by anyone, let alone a VH.

Not amazing, but not bad at all. Reminds me of The Pretty Reckless, another band I think is pretty decent.

I love half the songs I've heard so far, and I like the rest.

I can't wait to get the album!

I've been following the songs as they've dropped and like them. He's truly a one-man band playing every instrument and singing every vocal. It's a talented bloodline!

I loved his tribute song to his dad, but this one is pretty meh to me. Basic chords and riffs

I downloaded the album this morning and I love it so far! It's already #1 on the iTunes chart. When is the last time a rock album debuted at the top spot?

Re: Mammoth WVH

"Mammoth II" is coming August 4, 2023. Once again, Wolfgang Van Halen performs all instruments and vocals on the album (despite his touring band appearing in the video below).

First single dropped today:

I figured the bump had to do with the trending tweets. This has been amusing.

Re: Mammoth WVH

Oh, I've been following WVH on that front too. Busy 48 hours for Wolfie!

And yes, I'm going to work in "you grape!" as a future insult.

Yes, Twitter has been an amusing read for him this week. He can't win and the haters can't have it both ways.

Yes, that why Wolf's iteration is "Mammoth WVH"

Kid's got his head on straight, and is a talent.

Too bad his music is so innocuous.

Re: Mammoth WVH

Saw that they were opening for Metallica and Pantera next year. Was expecting something decent but this is truly boring, uninspired rock music. Kids also kidding himself thinking he isn't using the Van Halen name to get cred. Otherwise he wouldn't name the band Mammoth Wolf Van Halen. Just name it Mammoth in that case.
