I just read that on news. Very sad to hear, David is the only Doll left now. RIP Sylvain.

I remember liking the Dolls for a brief period of time. I always liked the Heartbreakers more. I think it was David J. Regardless I had a lot of respect for Syl and the dolls for their influence.

Yeah, heard the sad news yesterday. . The Dolls are a great story such that their first two albums were commercial failures at the time yet the power of their influence and lasting effect they've sustained decades later are impressive. Not the only example of course, but funny how that works out sometimes.

Yeah, I liked Johnny Thunders and the Heartbreakers more too, but agree that you have to respect the huge influence over multiple music genres and movements that the Dolls had. It's too bad that it never translated into much widespread fame or financial success for them, but that's a common story in the music world unfortunately.
