That sounds awesome. It's funny, I saw Frehley's Comet open for Alice over thirty years ago! Nice to see Alice is still helping Ace out with gigs.
I've already seen KISS about a half dozen times, at this point I have no interest in this unless they had Ace join in and played some deep cuts.

Re: Kiss Announce Final ‘End of the Road’ World Tour
My first concert ever was Kiss Psycho Circus live at Dodger Stadium Halloween '98, with the Smashing Pumpkins as the openers.
I may just bite the bullet and get a single ticket (yes, I'm selfish) and see them for a proper send-off.
BTW, Paul Stanley designed a pair of Puma Suede shoes - already sold out at $120. There's two versions of it but I've only seen the lighter ones (I just saw the other variant and they remind me of 50's inspired footwear but in leopard print). I have a couple of pairs of Suede style but I prefer the dark shades as opposed to light colored ones.

Re: Kiss Announce Final ‘End of the Road’ World Tour
KISS recently announced that they’re going on a farewell tour (again) and the question on many people’s minds is: will Ace Frehley rejoin the band for it? He seems to still have a good relationship with Gene Simmons, with whom he recently played some KISS songs on stage in Australia, and he’s also performing at The KISS Kruise this fall. And according to Ace himself, he wants to be involved.
As Blabbermouth points out, during a live conversation at Hollywood’s Musicians Institute on Tuesday (9/25), Ace said “Hopefully next year, what all the KISS fans really want to happen will happen. I’m hoping. I want to be involved, especially for the fans. It’s not like my dream job, because I’ve done it a couple of times and quit, but I really want to do it for the fans if it’s going to happen.”
As for whether or not he’s discussed it with Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley though, “I haven’t been asked,” he said. “I had a meeting with those guys several months ago, and they talked about retiring to me, and that didn’t seem right either.” Here’s more:
"Who knows what’s going to happen? I read comments on the Internet, and I fall off my bed laughing. There’s all these people that have all these different ideas of a configuration of what the next KISS tour should be, and it’s crazy — but overwhelmingly, they want me back in the band, I think. That’s what I’m reading on the Internet.
I’m doing fine on my own. My career is on an upswing; I’m having a ton of fun; I like producing my own records. I don’t like anybody standing over my shoulder telling me what to do. I’ve had a lot of freedom, and working with Paul [Stanley] and Gene [Simmons] again, it would be different. But then again, I’d probably make $5 or $10 million, so I might consider that…"
Paul Stanley was recently on the Rolling Stone Music Now podcast, and while he didn’t confirm any guest appearances by former KISS members, he didn’t rule it out either…
“I really can’t say,” Stanley says. “This will be a celebration of Kiss and not any individual lineup or any individual members. I wouldn’t rule anything out but it’s not the crux of what we’re doing… and I’m not being coy either. I don’t want to mislead anybody, really that’s not something that’s been given a lot of thought at this point, the majority of our time has gone into what is the stage going to be, what is the show going to be, and we’re actually in the midst of toying with setlists now.”
While Ace sounds open to reuniting with his former bandmates, Peter Criss announced his retirement from music last year, so a full reunion of the original lineup seems unlikely. Stay tuned…

If this is the last tour then it would be crazy not to have Ace and Peter at least show up at a few dates and do a few songs during the show.

If Ace is in then I'd be in. It would also be nice to have Peter come and at least sing a couple songs, even if it's just for some dates.

Re: Kiss Announce Final ‘End of the Road’ World Tour
Ace Frehley tells Yahoo Entertainment that there’s “no bad blood” between him and his ex-bandmates — he recently performed with Simmons in Australia and as part of Simmons’s Vault Experience, and Stanley appeared on Frehley’s 2016 album, Origins Volume 1 — and this of course raises the question, will Frehley, who successfully reunited with Simmons, Stanley, and original drummer Peter Criss in 1996, take part in KISS’s just-announced big farewell tour?
“I knew you were gonna ask that,” Frehley chuckles. There’s a glint in his eye that suggests he’s not telling the whole story (at one point he asks exactly when this interview will run) but is revealing all he can offer right now. “OK, I have a pat answer, and it’s true: I haven’t been invited.” That doesn’t mean Frehley isn’t open to the idea, however. “For the right price,” he says, he would “absolutely” do it.
“The first year of that reunion tour, we grossed $215 million, and that was 20 years ago. So what would it be today, probably double that? Half a billion? I’m there,” he laughs.

No stops in the Bay Area? I guess the demographics here don't mesh with a KISS concert.

I'd bet there will be a second leg. I don't see them not playing amphitheatres in the summer.

I really should go up to Detroit for this, but I don't want to do that on a Wednesday. Looks like Columbus, OH will be the one.

Re: Kiss Announce Final ‘End of the Road’ World Tour
Of course, there's about $25 in fees per ticket, plus almost $5 to mail the tickets for me (got them for several people). And they kept trying to bundle a $45 fan club membership to the tickets. And on checkout they actually had me accept/decline calls from companies pushing cruises and timeshares.
Fuck Ticketmaster sideways. Unless Iron Maiden comes around again, I'm done with big venue shows after this.

Re: Kiss Announce Final ‘End of the Road’ World Tour
$360 for two people including fees. The FEES were $60 fuck that. I will buy the blu when it is released. They would have been great seats. But I have seen them about so many times I am good with it. Expanded set list to 25 songs so that would have been cool. New stage as well.
If they do come through on a second leg that is close to me I know I won't be able to resist a second time however.

Well...I was able to attempt to buy them today early due to a radio promo.

If they do a second leg in USA it's not not gonna be until 2020. I saw that they had released their fall 2019 schedule and that was for Australia and New Zealand.

Shit, I'm not paying those prices. I've seen KISS enough in my life, including with all four original members, so I guess that will be good enough for me.

I think Europe is next summer. I assume they could, but will they? Now that's a grind if they do it that way with almost no substantial breaks in between.
