Bruce Springsteen autobiography and new CD (sort of)
Bruce Springsteen's autobiography, titled Born to Run (sounds vaguely familiar), hits stores on 9/27.
A retrospective CD will street four days earlier. The first five of the 18 tracks were recorded before his first album.
"Baby I" and "You Can’t Judge a Book by the Cover" were recorded in 1966 and 1967 respectively by The Castiles, Springsteen's first band as a teenager.
"He's Guilty (The Judge Song)" was recorded by Steel Mill, a heavy blues band which was probably the most legendary of Bruce's pre-fame groups.
"Ballad of Jesse James" was recorded by The Bruce Springsteen Band, a transitory and short-lived outfit with that briefly pre-dated his recording career.
"Henry Boy" was a solo recording from the same period as the demo recordings that resulting in his recording contract.

A little late as some of these have already sold out... but just in case.
I was lucky to get one for Freehold.
