Petty reasons to dislike music
Read the title then come back to me. Back? Okay. What are yours?
To start off, I am not fond of albums that are just one long song or an album without the songs being broken into their stated parts, sometimes even albums that contain only a few songs of which all of them are very long will end up relegated to the Not Listened To Often pile.
For example, if an album consists of two songs, both of which are 30 minutes, it turns me off liking it or putting it on. If that same album was those two songs broken down into smaller pieces, I would probably like it. It certainly affects how much doom metal I listen to, as well as others like DJ mixes and so on.
There is a 30 minute song by Tesseract that I love, but it's broken into six pieces, so I don't mind it being long. But Yob, who have some songs over 25 minutes, I don't like listening to. Also Earth 2, which is technically one 70 minute song broken into 3 chunks, but 3 chunks still so large I find myself not listening to it. Among others.
It is irrational. I have no defence.

There are certain songs that have bad associations with me.
Nothing to do with the song itself, just that it was playing at a bad time in my life. I can't hear "Beds Are Burning" by Midnight Oil without bringing up a bad memory.

I can't stand the new "alternative" music or rap, and get off my lawn!

That's the first thing that came to mind. Either a song associated with a bad event or even a band that you associate with an ex.

I play and love guitars. A lot. So the music I like needs to have some guitar in it, if not a lot. I make some exceptions, but not many.

"I outgrew them"
Notwithstanding nursery rhymes, I never understood outgrowing music. I'm 42 and can enjoy the same songs I did when I was 14.
The cool thing with music is your taste, your enjoyment, has unlimited shelf space in the playlist of your life. You don't have to push out old things because you like new ones. Just keep adding.

I used to think the lyrics of the Moody Blues were deep. Now they sound to me like a guy using a "deep" line of talk because he's trying to seduce a girl. They sound pretentious and fake.
But the angry young man attitude of the Who or the Sex Pistols still speaks to me. I haven't been one for a long time, but the music still triggers an emotional response.

For me, I like a wide variety of genres: punk, postpunk, new wave, classic country, British Invasion, traditional Celtic, ska, reggae, folk, synthpop, Britpop, etc. But the common factor for me is that I like short, melodic, structured songs.
I don't care for complex song structures, long solos, or jams, so I'm not a fan of prog rock, a lot of metal, free form jazz, jam bands, etc. I guess I make an exception for some classical pieces that are complex, but that's about it.
Not saying there's any logic to it, but that's my taste.

I'm sure there are movies you liked as a kid that you find bad today. The bad acting or cheesy dialog and unrealistic scenes doesn't hold up well when you're more critical and mature. I had the same issue with music. I used to love classic rock, but now I find most of it self-indulgent and cheesy... and boring for the most part. That doesn't mean I enjoy all new music today either - bad is bad regardless of the era. I just find myself more critical of music (not to be mistaken with being "uptight").

That's because hopefully people grow and evolve as they get older. The music stays the same, but people change and with it so does their taste. It's not the "new" music that makes one hate the "old" music.

The pettiest thing I could come up with is simply terrible production. It could be the coolest music in the world, but if it sounds like it was recorded on an old school boom box, I can't get into it. This causes me to miss out on a lot of punk and metal, especially black metal. There aren't really any other reasons that I'll just dislike a song outside of personal tastes.
