I just discovered Lone a few weeks ago. This track reminds me a lot of Tangerine Dream, especially their music for Risky Business. Two sublime moments: the backwards segment at 1:41, and the heavy bassline at 2:48.

Found this thread as I was looking for another ...

This is from an album released in 1974 by Paul McCartney's brother Mike - with a lot of Paul's (and Wings) assistance. Most is very Wings-sounding, and if you like Wings, I suggest giving more of the album a listen.

I've been hooked on this song all weekend. I had it on a mix cd for awhile but never paid much attention to the artist or lyrics. I looked them up over the weekend, and was surprised to see that the lead singer is an albino dude with white dreds and goatee! lol Also found out that he has struggled with depression and been suicidal at times which makes the lyrics in this song all the more powerful.

The intro is amazing as well. So much emotion.

Some of their later albums mostly passed under the radar, but I loved this whole album, and especially this song:

Another groovy track (and video) from the Allah-La's. This one is an instrumental cover of a 1960's song from the Frantics called "No Werewolf" and the artwork is a moving wheel of sand by artist Mikhail Sadovnikov.
